Mon 26th & Tue 27th May

8pm - Astronomy for Insects by BlackSkyWhite

Moscow based BlackSkyWhite’s performances are always awesome, magical sights - an alarming clash of beauty and terror. In a cacophony of light, sound and dazzling physicality this astonishing company reflect reality through distorting mirrors, and dare to travel the fragile line between reality and illusion; our inner and outer worlds.

Astronomy For Insects is an extraordinary, unnerving dance macabre. It’s about the cracks and secret entrances in the world of humans. It is about blind windows and doors that are forever locked. It is about realising that the road from the centre of a big city to the edge of the world is really much shorter than it seems. In Astronomy for Insects we witness the free-fall logic of our unconscious; a sci-fi world of ominous characters, giant columns of light, and thrumming sound that sends shivers up your spine.

“The overall effect is poignant, terrifying, exhilarating – leaving audiences gasping, and leaping to the their feet to cheer.”
Daily Telegraph

“A show which illuminates the term ‘total theatre’: the costumes, lighting, music and movement blend so seamlessly into a language we all recognise in our deepest emotions and most profound fears.”
British Theatre Guide
